DESIGN & DEVELELOPMENT OF ELECTRIC MOTORS

Most of Polish electric motors were designed in Komel Centre.
In Komel we worked out projects and documentations of many series of general-purpose electric motors and special machines for power plants, shipbuilding industry, chemical industry, coal mining, etc. For example we designed low voltage motors type Se, Sf, Sg, high voltage motors type Sf and DC motors type Pb and Pf. Recently Komel have designed high voltage energy efficient induction motors. The projects of definite purpose electric machines were worked out in Komel Centre.
For example we dcesigned:

permanent magnet motors,

water-colled explosion-proof induction motors for coal-mining,

silent-running induction motors,

submersible motors for abyssal pumps,

induction motors for long-starting time and hard exploitation and operating conditions,

special DC machines for aviation, trams and machine tools,

high voltage energy efficient motors

We use of own computers applications for electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical calculations. The methods of calculations are successively verified and improved, basing on the results of laboratory and exploitation’s researches. Documentation is worked out in AutoCAD, LogoCAD and SolidEdge.
